'Mataora' is an epic four track journey of atmospheres, weighted in heavy themes of connection, mortality, sickness, loss, maturity, and identity.⠀

Mataora represents one of those albums which many artists can relate to having made at some stage of their journey. Something you're especially proud of, perhaps with some breakthrough ideas into new terrains of artistic growth. Yet the work then winds up being perpetually ignored by external forces/record labels, and not for a lack of quality. It then gets shelved, time moves on, and you keep on creating new works. But in the back of your mind a part of you is still wondering about what to do with "that" album, a symbolic thorn in your side which still remains...⠀
