Anthony Childs Highly recommend if you're a fan of Budd/Eno's collaborations or Robert Haigh's output. Sounds great on low volume or turned way up (much like The Pearl) as there's additional movement and life in the background. And nice diversity in the compositions keeping the listener choice to pay attention or bliss out fresh throughout. Favorite track: 13.56.

April was recorded in its entirety on Sunday 29th March 2020 during New Zealand first level 4 Corona Virus lockdown.

It was an overcast Sunday at the artists house in the Waikato region of New Zealand. All pieces are improvisations recorded using a Yamaha upright piano in the living room.

Two Røde M5 microphones were used to capture the piano and recorded in to Logic music software. The effects you hear on the pieces all differ slightly, and are applied in real time so the artist places themselves in a position to respond to these processes in a faithfulness to time and space.

Doors and windows were left open to capture these improvisations as a form of ‘field recordings’. The track titles correspond to the time the piece began recording.
